Wild Clay Slip Glaze Snack Bowl by Ingot
Under the name of Ingot Objects, Glasgow-based Jonathan creates a range of wheel-thrown and hand-built objects which have as low an impact on the environment as possible. Utilising local materials - such as foraged wild clay and wood ash - to create textures and glazes which celebrate the impurities and imperfections of the natural materials themselves. Designed to be both functional and characterful, his designs heavily feature tableware such as plates bowls and cups elevated to enhance the ritual of everyday drinking and dining.
Made from a rugged wild clay which Jonathan has sourced from the Scottish landscape, this serving dish has an incredible weight and texture to it. The underside is a raw rough clay which contains all the imperfections of the natural clay. The top side has been finished in a white slip glaze. The perfect size for snacks or dips.
